carnaubaPuresters are vegetable derived esters for Cosmetic & Personal Care use. They are produced from naturally derived fatty alcohol & fatty alcohol feedstock's.

There are three grades that cover a range of melting points. Other grades are also may be available, depending on customer interest.

Cosmetic Industry Chemical Design
The INCI and CTFA names are as follows:

Purester 24- Lauryl laurate
Purester 34- Stearyl Palmitate

Purester 40- Stearyl Behenate

Those naturally derived materials offer high purity and exceptional consistency as ingredients for the Cosmetic and Personal Care Industries.

 

Benefits:

  • Enhanced emulsion stability.
  • Low IV (2-4) Provides good chemical and thermal stability.
  • Provides a talc-powder (silicone like) after-feel in some applications.
  • Provides enhanced whiteness in creams and lotions vs. microcrystalline waxes (PE-34
    & PE-40).
  • Excellent film former (increases substantivity).
  • Reduces the greasy feel of oil systems.
  • Improves payoff characteristics in sticks (lipstick, AP, etc.)

Applications include:

Cosmetics, Creams, Pharmaceuticals, Pomades, Salves/Ointments, Eye Shadows, Pencils, Hot Pour Make-ups, Sun Tan Gels, Hair Care, and Antiperspirants.

Compatibility:

Puresters are compatible with most vegetable and mineral waxes, as well as vegetable oils, mineral oils and petrolatum's.
